Based on a simple observational sketch at home, the design is then transferred to the block and carefully hand carved. It is then printed by hand onto beautiful Awagami Kitakata paper. This washi paper is a very thin, but strong, paper that is a delicate pale cream in colour with a slight sheen to it and compliments the original design.
