Tea and Cakes Linocut

This limited edition linocut is inspired by those wonderfully long catch ups with friends over homemade cake and hot cups of tea. A freshly brewed teapot and cake with sweet local strawberries is all that is needed for a much needed afternoon chit chat with your best friend.

An original design, hand drawn directly onto the traditional compostable linoleum, and then carefully hand carved and hand printed onto delicate Awagami washi paper. Thought is taken in the use of materials, packaging and processes so that they are non toxic, sustainable and eco friendly. This 8 x 10 inch limited edition linocut is made to a standard inch frame size, so can be easily framed from a store bought frame if preferred. 

Each linocut print is hand pressed, so there will be natural variations in colour, ink coverage and texture and there may be slight indentations in the margins where the paper was pressed over the edge of the block. This is all part of what makes each print truly handmade and unique.
