An illustrated sustainable giclée featuring a popular dai pai dong on Elgin Street nestled amongst the towering high rise buildings of Hong Kong city.
A part of Hong Kong’s culture, in sustainable art form
Dai pai dongs are outside food stalls that are found on the streets of Hong Kong. They were originally very abundant selling everyday food, but due to the way that they are licensed, there are very few remaining now. They are seen as an important part of Hong Kong’s culture and heritage. If you are after authentic low priced food, with lots of ‘wok hei, then this is the place to come.
This dai pai dong on Elgin Street in Central Hong Kong is one of the more popular and famous ones. Found on a sloping street corner surrounded by high rise buildings.
This giclee, not only captures some of Hong Kong’s heritage and culture, it is also made with museum grade archival materials that are sustainable too. It is perfect for displaying in your home as a reminder of your love for this wonderful city.
To allow for a variety of sizes available to you and to reduce unwanted surplus stock, I only keep a small number of giclées physically in my studio. All other available sizes of giclées are available on a made to order basis. Please note that made to order giclées take approx one week to dispatch, as they are professionally printed by an external company.
