Cutting Fresh Oranges Linocut
Cutting Fresh Oranges Linocut
Inspired by typical little moments in the home kitchen and the hands that cook us our food. This is a depiction of my mother cutting several oranges for us after a wholesome dinner. Nothing says ‘love’ like some cut fruit!
Capturing home in linocut form
Each print starts off as an observational sketch and is then transferred to traditional linoleum and carefully hand carved and hand printed using sustainable, non toxic and eco friendly materials and processes. The result is a warming limited edition linocut of a treasured everyday moment.
This linocut is also part of a trilogy, all inspired by little kitchen moments. Click here to view the collection. The prints are also available as a print only or mounted in a 6 x 8 inch acid free mount with conservation materials and methods. Please select your preference when ordering.
Due to the handmade method, each print will contain natural variations in colour and texture. There may also be slight indentations in the margins where the paper was pressed over the edge of the block. This is part of the linocut process and is what makes each print handmade and unique.
